Firestick Viewer privacy policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Firestick Viewer is a private app used by a single household. It is not available to the public.

What it accesses

With your permission, the app uses the Google Photos Picker API (scope photospicker.mediaitems.readonly) to read only the photos and videos you select in the picker. It cannot see the rest of your Google Photos library.

What it does with them

The selected photos and videos are downloaded to the household's own home server (NAS) and shown on the household's TV. They are not uploaded anywhere else, not shared with anyone, not sold, and not used for advertising or to train AI models.

The sign-in token Google issues is stored only on that home server and is used only to fetch the items you pick.

Removing access

You can remove the app's access at any time from your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps and services. Imported copies can be deleted from the home server.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
